# Know a district that needs accessibility help?

Canonical page: https://districtproof.io/partners/referrals

Introduce district teams to practical document and website accessibility support. We handle scoping, the proposal and delivery; your referral arrangement is agreed in writing before introductions begin.

## A clear reward for a useful introduction

First project

### 10% of collected service fees

Up to **$2,500 per referred district**. The reward is based on the qualifying first project, after discounts, credits and refunds. Taxes and reimbursed third-party expenses are excluded.

Care-only first paid engagement

### 10% of three months’ equivalent fees

Care is billed annually. The reward uses three months of the monthly-equivalent price: **$225 Essentials · $450 Board Packet Service · $750 Priority** at the published starting rates.

Rewards apply to approved partners and accepted new introductions under a written referral agreement. One qualifying first paid engagement earns one reward; later work and renewals are excluded.

## What a project referral could earn

| Deadline Package | Starting service fee | Referral reward |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | $14,500 | $1,450 |
| District | $24,500 | $2,450 |
| Enterprise | $49,500 | $2,500 cap |

These are arithmetic examples, not customer earnings or guaranteed payouts. The actual reward follows the net fees collected and the agreed scope. [See current customer pricing](https://districtproof.io/pricing).

## From introduction to an agreed engagement

- ### Tell us about your work

Use the enquiry form to describe your organization, your audience and the districts you support. Start with your own details; no prospect list or private documents are needed.
- ### Agree the terms

We review eligibility and confirm the reward, referral registration and permitted promotion in writing. Ask us to accept an introduction before sharing a district contact.
- ### Make a permission-based introduction

Connect the district’s contact with our team after they agree to the introduction. Explain any paid relationship. We confirm the district’s needs, prepare the scope and handle the service proposal.
- ### Receive the agreed reward

For a qualifying project, payment is due within 30 days after the project is paid in full. For Care-only work, payment is due within 30 days after the first annual invoice is paid and the first 30 days of service are complete. Resolve refunds or disputed amounts under the written agreement.

## A good fit for your district relationships

### People who already support district teams

- Education consultants and independent advisers
- Website, digital and IT service providers
- Accessibility specialists with complementary services
- Publishers and professional communities serving district staff

### Work worth introducing

- A backlog of public PDFs and scanned documents
- Enrollment forms, budgets, policies and notices that need review
- Recurring board packet or document publishing
- A defined school website accessibility testing need

Share what the district is trying to accomplish and let it choose the scope. Keep purchasing decisions with the district and avoid promising a legal outcome, a guaranteed certification or an approved-vendor status.

## Keep the referral terms understandable

New introductionsA prospect must be accepted in writing before the introduction and must not already be a customer or active opportunity. The first accepted introduction receives credit.

180-day attributionThe district must sign the qualifying agreement within 180 days of written acceptance of the introduction. Any extension must be agreed in writing.

One reward per districtA project reward and a Care-only reward do not stack. Renewals, later projects, self-referrals and wholesale delivery arrangements are excluded.

Clear commercial basisThe 10% project calculation uses service fees actually collected after discounts, credits and refunds, excluding taxes and reimbursed third-party expenses. The project cap is $2,500.

Independent decision-makingDistrict employees, school board members and people selecting, approving or procuring DistrictProof for that district are ineligible for paid referrals. Unpaid introductions remain welcome.

Permission and privacyObtain permission before sharing a prospect’s contact details. Status updates are limited to what the district permits and what is needed to administer the referral.

Written arrangementSalt Technologies, Inc. confirms eligibility, attribution, any tax or payment documentation, disputes and the reward terms before a compensated referral begins.

## Recommend us with a clear disclosure

When a recommendation has a paid relationship, make that relationship clear near the recommendation or introduction. For example: “I may receive a referral fee if your district becomes a DistrictProof customer.” Use language that accurately describes your actual arrangement.

Agree any use of the DistrictProof name, logo, promotional links or service claims with us first. [The FTC’s endorsement guidance](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/ftcs-endorsement-guides-what-people-are-asking) explains material connections and disclosure. Your own professional and district purchasing restrictions also need to be respected.

## Questions before you enquire

### Who is this for?

Independent education consultants, web and digital agencies, accessibility specialists, IT providers, publishers and professional communities that can introduce a district with a relevant need. We review the fit and agree terms before a compensated introduction.

### How much can a referral earn?

For an approved first project, the reward is 10% of net service fees collected, capped at $2,500 per referred district. A Care-only first paid engagement earns 10% of three months of the monthly-equivalent service fee. The written referral agreement defines the qualifying engagement and payment conditions.

### What if Care is billed annually?

The reward still uses only three months of the monthly-equivalent fee. At the published starting prices, that is $225 for Essentials, $450 for Board Packet Service or $750 for Priority. It is not 10% of the annual invoice.

### Does a free report or sample earn a referral fee?

No. A free Backlog Report, sample review or free first board packet does not itself earn a reward. The accepted referral must lead to a qualifying first paid engagement under the written agreement.

### Can a project referral also earn a Care commission?

The reward applies to one qualifying first paid engagement per district. If that engagement includes a project and Care, the project reward applies; the Care-only reward does not stack. Renewals, later projects and wholesale delivery work do not earn additional referral rewards.

### How are introductions credited?

Contact us before making the introduction. We confirm whether the district is new to our pipeline and record the accepted referral in writing. The first accepted introduction receives credit; the district must sign the qualifying agreement within 180 days, unless an extension is agreed in writing.

### Can district employees or purchasing advisers receive a fee?

We do not pay district employees, school board members, or people who choose, approve or procure DistrictProof for the referred district. An unpaid introduction is welcome. Independent partners must also check their own employer, client and professional restrictions.

### Can I promote DistrictProof through a newsletter or website?

Tell us about your audience and proposed promotion when you enquire. Agree permitted claims, the introduction or attribution method and any paid-relationship disclosure before promotion begins. Affiliate links or other promotional arrangements are confirmed individually; submitting this form does not issue a tracking link.

### Does submitting the form create a partnership?

No. It starts a conversation. Eligibility, referral registration, compensation and promotion permissions require written confirmation. Salt Technologies, Inc. is the contracting company for DistrictProof.

## Start with your organization.

Tell us what you do, where you reach district teams and how you would make introductions. A specific district name or contact is not needed to enquire.

We’ll use your enquiry to discuss fit and written terms. Submitting it does not enroll you, register a prospect or create an entitlement to a referral fee.
