Accessibility statement

Website accessibility statement

DistrictProof works toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA for its marketing website. This statement describes the implemented features, review coverage, known limits, and how to request help.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers the DistrictProof marketing pages and their enquiry forms, glossary, checklist, and population-based estimator. The embedded Calendly scheduler, linked external resources, and email applications are provided by their respective operators. The earlier review below predates the Calendly integration and does not establish conformance of that third-party service.

Features intended to support access

The pages use semantic landmarks, headings, a skip link that moves focus to the main content, and visible keyboard focus. Navigation menus and disclosures use native controls. Forms identify required and optional fields, provide input labels and error descriptions, and move focus to useful feedback after submission. The estimator moves focus to its named result; the checklist and template-copy tool provide status messages. A site directory offers another way to find pages. Layouts support narrow screens, and motion preferences are respected.

How the website has been checked

On November 3, 2026, axe-core 4.14.0 checks covered all 69 pages at 1280 and 320 pixel widths against selected WCAG 2 A, AA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and best-practice rules. Expanded navigation, FAQs, and hover-style fixtures were also checked. Those automated runs reported no violations. Contrast exceptions for decorative characters and the sample illustration were assessed using their rendered colors.

Browser review covered keyboard operation, focus order, skip links, disclosures, form labels and error associations, all four enquiry forms, the estimator, checklist, and template-copy fallback. Local form fixtures exercised success, field-error, and service-error states without sending additional emails. All pages were checked for reflow and increased text spacing at 320 and 1280 pixel widths, including a 320 by 256 pixel viewport. A separate local fixture enlarged rendered text to 200 percent.

Screen-reader task checks

On November 3, 2026, selected tasks were checked with VoiceOver in Safari on macOS. In this user-assisted review, a listener confirmed the required-name prompt, service-error message, successful enquiry confirmation, estimator result, and checklist progress update were read aloud. These checks used local test responses for enquiry errors and success; they did not send additional production emails. A representative page was also checked at Safari’s native 200 percent zoom.

Review scope and ongoing work

The review covers the pages and methods described here. It is not a certification or a blanket conformance claim. The VoiceOver checks covered the selected tasks listed above; compatibility across other browser, operating-system, and assistive-technology combinations is not claimed. We revisit testing when the website or its interactive behavior changes.

Known limits and alternatives

Enquiry forms submit directly through the website. You can also email info@districtproof.io directly if the form is difficult to use or you prefer to contact us directly. The Calendly calendar has a skip link and a direct-booking fallback. If it presents a barrier, email us with your preferred times and time zone to arrange the same planning call. The estimator requires you to enter the applicable population and does not look up Census records. The deadline guide provides the same date and population context in text.

Report a barrier or request help

Email info@districtproof.io with the page URL, the task you were trying to complete, the difficulty encountered, and your preferred contact method. Browser or assistive-technology details may help us understand the issue. Please omit sensitive information.

Subsequent website updates

On November 4, 2026, the new sample evidence report and eight updated buying and service pages were checked with axe-core at 320 and 1280 pixel widths. Those checks and the expanded-navigation fixtures reported no violations. The same nine pages were checked for narrow-screen reflow and increased text spacing at 320 pixels. The sample evidence CSV was downloaded and inspected, and the plain-text scoping worksheet was opened and reviewed.

Booking integration review

On November 4, 2026, the contact page and four updated notices were checked with axe-core at 320 and 1280 pixel widths, with no reported violations in the DistrictProof page content. Narrow-screen reflow and increased text spacing checks also passed. Calendar date and time selection and the booking-details step were exercised within the embedded scheduler; no appointment was created. The keyboard skip link was checked. The cross-origin Calendly content was not included in the automated scan, and these checks do not constitute a screen-reader assessment of Calendly.

Analytics choice controls

On November 5, 2026, the new optional analytics controls and updated website notices were checked with axe-core at 320 and 1280 pixel widths, with no reported violations. Narrow-screen reflow and increased text spacing checks passed. Keyboard checks covered allowing and rejecting analytics, reopening settings and withdrawing a previous choice. Expired choices and unavailable browser storage were also exercised in a local fixture; that fixture did not send data to Google. These checks do not constitute a new screen-reader assessment.
